Theme Development Update February 2010

February 23, 2010 in Uncategorized

Recently I’ve been working flat out on a new Moodle theme.  It’s heavily AJAX driven and very web 2.0.

My aim is to create one of the most beautiful and most user-friendly themes available to the Moodle Community.

The theme currently has smooth dropdown menus, customisable colour palettes, real-time font size changer, column selectors and much more including a dynamic dashboard style panel.

Although heavily javascript dependent the theme degrades well with javascript disabled.

I aim to have the theme ready for public release prior to the UK Moodle Moot in April.  I’m confident that it will really ignite the community and show the world just what is possible with a Moodle theme. (Supports all versions of 1.9).
Administrators will be able to customise the theme very easily to match their organisation.

If I get positive feedback then I shall create a "Primary School" version for use with the younger end of the education spectrum.

Watch this space very closely.
