Planning

Planning a Moodle project can be very daunting, there is a lot that needs doing and more often than not, not enough people to do it. Creating course structures and assigning user roles can seem like a massive job, and then there is often the issue of staff development and training.

I often find that one of the most difficult aspects of launching a Moodle site is not the technical side of it, but getting users to engage with it. How do we get users to engage with it when there is no content? And how do we get content on there when users have not yet engaged with it?

The answer to this problem lies in first building up the trust and confidence people have in the system and secondly showing them how easy it is to use, a good training structure is vital.

Many organisatons are unsure as to what hardware is required to support their growing number of users, or need answers to questions regarding the server platform, backups, PHP modules and a whole host of technical issues. This is where my experience and knowledge can help you.

Defining a solid strategy and good project planning is critical to the success of your Moodle installation. No matter how big or small the project.
